Planning a wedding, a birthday or a company party in Benalmádena or Torremolinos? A photo booth is one of the few additions to an event that keeps earning its place all evening. Guests use it between courses, again after the speeches, and once more long past midnight — and every one of them goes home holding a printed photo instead of a phone gallery they will never open. Pic Me has been running photo booths across the Costa del Sol for more than five years, and both towns sit comfortably inside our standard coverage area, so the date, the venue and the timings are straightforward for us to cover.
Events on this stretch of coast have a particular shape. Guest lists are mixed: Spanish families, friends who flew in from the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands or Scandinavia, colleagues who have never met each other before. People arrive at different times, they sit at tables that were decided weeks ago, and for the first hour nobody quite knows who to talk to. A photo booth solves that faster than any icebreaker on a programme, because standing in a queue with a feather boa in your hand is a conversation.
The second reason is the weather and the way it shapes an evening. From Arroyo de la Miel and Benalmádena Pueblo down to Benalmádena Costa, and along La Carihuela, Playamar and Los Álamos in Torremolinos, most celebrations spill outdoors onto a terrace, a rooftop or a garden. That is lovely for atmosphere and difficult for photographs: once the sun drops, phone pictures turn into grain and shadow. A booth with its own studio lighting keeps producing clean, properly lit images at one in the morning, exactly when the party is at its best.
The third is simply that printed photos survive. A strip with the date on it ends up on a fridge door in Málaga, in a wallet in Dublin and in a desk drawer in Rotterdam. That is a long afterlife for something that cost a fraction of the catering bill.

Every booking is the complete package. There is nothing that has to be added later to make it work:
The attendant matters more than people expect. An unattended machine in a corner gets used twice and then ignored. Someone who hands a guest a prop and says “all five of you, go on” is the difference between forty prints and four hundred.
Hire starts from 400 € for three hours, and that price is the same anywhere in the province of Málaga — Benalmádena and Torremolinos included. There is no separate travel charge for coming down the coast, and no surcharge for an evening slot. Additional hours can be added if your party runs long; the usual pattern for a wedding is three hours covering the end of dinner and the first part of the dance floor.
The one common extra is the live flower backdrop at 150 €, which several couples choose because it doubles as decoration for the room and photographs beautifully in every single shot. Everything else listed above — prints, props, attendant, digital files, delivery — is already in the base price.
If you want to compare formats and understand what drives the final figure, our detailed guide to photo booth hire costs on the Costa del Sol breaks it down hour by hour.
Less than most people assume. The working footprint is roughly 3 × 3 m: that covers the booth itself, the backdrop and enough room for a group of six or seven to stand comfortably without backing into a table. The equipment stands up to 1.8 m tall and the backdrop is 2.5 × 2.5 m, so a room with a normal ceiling is fine.
What we ask the venue for is simple: a flat surface, a standard power socket within reach, and a spot that is near the action but not in the path between the bar and the dance floor. Outdoors, the booth needs shade during daylight and shelter from wind — a terrace corner or a covered chill-out area works perfectly. If you are unsure, send us a photo of the room and we will tell you where it should go.
The backdrop sets the tone of every photo you will be looking at for years, so it is worth five minutes of thought. Sequin walls in gold or silver throw light back at the camera and suit birthdays, company parties and anything with a bit of glamour. A black studded backdrop is the quiet, elegant choice — it works with formal dress codes and makes colour pop. The flower wall is the romantic option and the one most often picked for weddings and christenings.

If the venue already has a beautiful wall, a hedge or a sea view, we can also work without a backdrop and use the setting itself. That decision is best made once we know the room.
Weddings are the largest share of our work, and the Benalmádena–Torremolinos stretch has everything from hotel ballrooms to beachfront restaurants; our guide to photo booths at weddings covers the timing questions that come up most often. Beyond weddings, the regular bookings are birthdays and milestone parties, communions and christenings, company dinners and end-of-year celebrations, and brand activations and shop openings where the printed photo carries a logo out of the door with every guest.
Seasonality matters here more than inland. Summer weekends and the December run of company Christmas parties fill up first, often months ahead. Spring and autumn dates are usually easier to secure at short notice.
We arrive early enough to be finished before your first guest walks in — setup is about an hour, and we agree the exact arrival time with you and the venue in advance. From the moment the booth opens, the attendant stays with it. Guests press the screen, pose, and the print lands in their hand in seconds; a second copy goes into the digital gallery automatically.
The busiest moments are predictable. There is a rush as soon as the booth opens, a second one right after the speeches or the cake, and a long steady stream once the dancing starts. Three hours placed across those peaks gets far more use than three hours that start too early. If your dinner runs late — and on this coast it usually does — tell us and we will shift the slot rather than let it burn while everyone is still at the table.
At the end we pack down quietly, and the complete digital set is sent to you after the event.
We work across the whole province of Málaga at the same price: Benalmádena, Torremolinos, Fuengirola, Mijas, Marbella, Estepona, Málaga city and everything in between. There are dedicated guides for Fuengirola and for Estepona and Sotogrande if your event is further along the coast.
Not sure whether a classic booth, a 360 platform or a magic mirror fits your room and your guest list? Our comparison of the three formats is the quickest way to decide.
For a Saturday in summer or any date in December, as early as you can — these fill months ahead. For spring and autumn midweek dates, a few weeks is often enough. It costs nothing to ask us about a date before you commit.
No. The price is the same across the whole province of Málaga, so travel within it is already included.
Printing is unlimited for the duration of your hire. A group of six can take one print each if they want to, and large groups usually do.
Yes. The print template is designed for your event before the day, with names and a date for a private celebration or branding for a corporate one.
Yes, with shade during daylight, shelter from wind and a power socket within reach. A covered terrace or chill-out corner is ideal.
Tell us when you book. Stairs, lifts and narrow entrances are all manageable, they simply change how much setup time we allow for.
Yes, every photo is kept digitally and the full set is sent to you after the event.
Our rating on Google is 5.0, and we have been running events on the Costa del Sol for more than five years.
Tell us the date, the venue and roughly how many guests you expect, and we will confirm availability and send you a clear price with nothing hidden in the footnotes. Call or WhatsApp +34 610 816 283, write to info@picmeevents.es, or send your details through the form on our contact page.
If your date is still moving, write to us anyway. We will tell you honestly whether it is likely to still be free in a month — and if the booth is already taken for that evening, we would rather say so now than leave you waiting.
