Estepona and Sotogrande sit at the quieter, more polished end of the western Costa del Sol. The weddings here tend to be smaller than the big Marbella productions, the venues are often private, and the guest lists mix Spanish families with British, Dutch and Scandinavian friends who have flown in for the weekend. That combination changes what a photo booth has to do: it has to look like it belongs in the room, work in several languages at once, and keep producing prints from the first toast until the music stops.
We have been running photo booths across the province for more than five years, and Estepona and Sotogrande are among the places we drive to most often. This guide covers what it costs, what arrives with us, how much room we need, and how the evening actually unfolds, so you can decide whether a booth fits your event before you ask for a quote.

Estepona has grown into a genuine events town. The old quarter with its flower-covered streets, the promenade restaurants, the beach clubs and the hotels up towards Cancelada all host celebrations, and many are compact spaces where every square metre is accounted for. We are used to venues where the booth has to live in a corner rather than the middle of a ballroom, so we plan the layout with the venue manager rather than improvising on the night.
Sotogrande is a different kind of event altogether. Celebrations there are often held on private estates, in club houses or in gardens, with a long drinks reception before dinner and guests who move between several outdoor areas during the evening. The practical questions are about power, shade and ground: a booth that stands level on a terrace and is protected from direct afternoon sun will produce much better pictures than one squeezed onto gravel in the heat. We ask about those details in advance precisely so there are no surprises when the van arrives.
Our pricing starts at 400 EUR for three hours. That is the complete figure for the standard package: equipment, an operator who stays for the whole session, unlimited prints during those three hours and the digital files afterwards. There is no separate delivery charge and no per-print cost added at the end of the night.
The same rate applies anywhere in the province of Malaga, so a booking in Estepona costs exactly what a booking in the centre of Marbella or up in the hills behind Mijas costs. We do not add a surcharge for distance inside the province. Sotogrande sits just across the provincial boundary, so for addresses there get in touch and we will confirm the figure for your exact venue before you commit to anything.
Two things change the total. Longer events are quoted by the hour beyond the first three, and the live sequin backdrop costs 150 EUR on top of the base package. If you want a detailed breakdown of how photo booth pricing works on this coast, including the questions worth asking any supplier before you pay a deposit, we have written it up in our guide to photo booth hire costs on the Costa del Sol.
Everything needed to run the booth travels with us. Specifically, the three-hour package includes:
The operator matters more than people expect. A booth left unattended produces a hundred photographs of the same four confident guests. An operator who invites the quieter tables over, hands out the props and reprints the strip that came out crooked is the difference between a novelty in the corner and something the whole room uses.
Plan for 3 x 3 metres. That gives room for the equipment, the backdrop, a prop table and the group standing in front of the camera without anyone backing into a chair. The equipment stands no higher than 1.8 metres, which clears the ceilings in the older buildings in Estepona old town and in marquees without touching the fabric. The backdrop itself is 2.5 x 2.5 metres.
We need a standard power socket within reach and, ideally, a spot that is not in the direct path between the kitchen and the tables. Setup takes about an hour, and we do it before guests arrive, so by the time the first drink is served the booth is already tested and printing.
Still choosing a venue? Our round-up of unique wedding venues in the area shows how these spaces work in practice.
Not every event wants the same format. A classic enclosed or open booth with prints is the safest choice for a wedding with a wide age range, because it is immediately obvious what to do and everyone leaves with something physical. A 360 platform suits a younger crowd and a party that will be shared on social media within the hour. A magic mirror fits elegant, space-conscious venues where a full platform would dominate the room.
Estepona and Sotogrande see all three. For a formal dinner followed by dancing, prints usually win. For a brand launch or a milestone birthday where video clips are the point, the platform earns its place. We go through the differences in detail in our comparison of 360 booths, magic mirrors and classic photo booths, and if you are unsure we will tell you honestly which one suits your room rather than which one is more expensive.

We cover the whole province of Malaga at the same price. On this stretch of coast that means Estepona in all its parts, from the old quarter and the marina out to the urbanisations towards Casares and Cancelada, as well as San Pedro de Alcantara, Benahavis, Marbella, Nueva Andalucia and the venues inland behind them. Our guides to photo booth rental in Marbella and to wedding photo booths cover the neighbouring areas in more depth.
Sotogrande and the surrounding area in San Roque are just outside the province, and we travel there regularly. Because it falls outside the flat provincial rate, ask us for a confirmed figure for your venue and we will send it before you decide.
A typical booking looks like this. We arrive roughly ninety minutes before the booth is due to open, find the socket, build the backdrop and run test prints. Guests discover the booth during the drinks reception, when nobody is yet seated and the queue forms naturally. Through dinner it goes quiet. Then, once the speeches are over and the music starts, the booth becomes busy again and stays that way until the session ends.
If your celebration runs late, it is usually better to start the booth later rather than extend at both ends: three hours that straddle the moment the dancing begins will produce far more prints than three hours that begin while guests are still finding their seats. We will suggest a start time based on your running order.
Tell us the date, the venue and roughly how many guests you expect, and we will come back with a clear figure and a suggested start time. Call or message +34 610 816 283, write to info@picmeevents.es, or use the enquiry form on this site. We hold a 5.0 rating on Google and have worked across the province for more than five years.
For a Saturday in high summer, as early as you can. Weekends between May and September fill first, and so do the dates around Christmas and New Year. Midweek events and quieter months are often available at shorter notice.
Yes. The rate is identical anywhere in the province of Malaga, with no travel supplement. Sotogrande sits over the provincial line, so ask us and we will confirm the figure for that address.
Often, yes, and gardens and terraces in Sotogrande are some of our favourite settings. We need level ground, power and some protection from direct sun and wind. Tell us where you are thinking of putting it and we will say whether it works.
Printing is unlimited during the session. A group of six who want a strip each get six strips, which is why people actually keep them rather than arguing over who takes the one copy home.
Both, which matters on this coast. Our operators switch between languages depending on the guest in front of them, and the on-screen prompts and the printed layout can be set in either.
It is a live sequin wall, 2.5 x 2.5 metres, that catches the light and moves as guests brush past. It costs 150 EUR on top of the package and changes the look of the pictures more than any other upgrade.
After the event. Every image taken during the session is included, not just the ones that were printed, so you also get the frames people did not realise were being taken.
Yes, and it is included rather than charged as an extra. Send us the names and the date, or a logo file for a corporate event, and we will set up the layout before the day.
Message +34 610 816 283 or email info@picmeevents.es with your date and venue in Estepona, Sotogrande or anywhere else along the coast, and we will confirm availability and price the same day wherever possible.
