Fuengirola sits in the middle of everything on this coast. It has the long paseo marítimo, hotels that run right down to the sand, a port full of restaurants, and the hills towards Mijas a few minutes inland. For a party that means you can pick almost any kind of setting without leaving town — and it means the practical details of an event change a lot depending on which of those settings you choose.
We rent photo booths across the whole province of Málaga, and Fuengirola is one of the places we are asked about most. This guide covers what a photo zone costs here, what it includes, how much room it needs, and the specific things worth checking at a beachfront venue versus an inland one.

Rental starts at 400 € for three hours. That is the same price we charge anywhere in the province of Málaga — there is no separate travel fee for Fuengirola, and no difference between a hotel on the paseo and a finca up towards Mijas.
Included in that price:
The one add-on we quote separately is the live floral backdrop at 150 €. Longer than three hours is priced by the hour — send us the timings and we will give you the figure before you commit to anything.
If you want the full breakdown of how the hours are usually spread across an evening, we wrote it up here: photo booth hire cost on the Costa del Sol.
This is the question venues ask us, and it is worth having the answer ready when you book the room.
Almost every venue in Fuengirola handles this without a problem. Terraces and function rooms are straightforward. The two places to check carefully are described below.
A lot of Fuengirola celebrations happen at or near the beach, and the sea brings two variables that an indoor room does not.
Wind. The backdrop is a frame with fabric on it, which behaves like a sail. We weight it, but on an exposed stretch of sand in the evening the honest answer is that a sheltered spot works better. A terrace, a covered chiringuito area or the lee side of a building all solve it.
Surface. Equipment needs a firm, level base. Decking, tiled terrace or a solid floor is ideal; loose sand is the one surface we would rather avoid, because the booth will not sit level and guests end up on an uneven footing in front of it.
There is also the light. Sunset on this coast drops quickly, and a photo zone that looked fine during the aperitivo can be too dark an hour later. Our booths carry their own lighting, so this is handled — but it is a good reason not to place the booth facing directly into the setting sun.
Head a few minutes up from the coast and the venues change character: fincas, villas with gardens, restaurants with outdoor terraces. These are usually easier for a photo zone than the beach, with one thing to confirm.
Gardens are generous with space and less generous with sockets. The nearest power point is often further from the ideal corner than it looks on a site visit. One question to the venue — where is the closest socket to the dinner area — settles it, and it is much easier to ask a week before than on the day.

The booth is the same; what changes is how it is used and where it sits in the timeline.
Weddings. The three hours that matter are the end of dinner and the first stretch of dancing. Guests are relaxed, everyone is in one place, and the prints become a guest book by the end of the night. We go into the wedding side in more detail in wedding photo booth hire.
Company parties. Christmas dinners and summer parties are the two peaks. A booth works here because it gives people who do not dance something to do together, which is usually the hardest part of a work event to solve.
Birthdays, communions and christenings. Smaller groups, often at a restaurant or at home. The 3 × 3 m footprint is the thing to check in a private dining room.
Openings and brand events. Prints with a logo on them leave the venue in people’s pockets, which is the cheapest take-home any event gets.
There is more than one format, and the venue tends to decide which fits.
The classic booth with prints is the most sociable and the safest choice for a sit-down dinner. Guests leave holding something.
The magic mirror looks like decoration rather than equipment, which makes it the better fit for a formal room where a piece of kit in the corner would stand out.
The 360 platform records video instead of stills and needs both more floor space and a crowd around it to work. It is at its best outdoors or in an open room, not tucked into a corner.
The differences are set out side by side in 360 booth, magic mirror or photo booth?
The whole province of Málaga, at the same price: Fuengirola, Mijas, Benalmádena, Torremolinos, Marbella, San Pedro de Alcántara, Puerto Banús, Estepona, Benahavís, Málaga city, Nerja, and the inland fincas around Coín, Alhaurín and Ronda. If the venue is in the province, the quote does not change.
Marbella specifically is covered in photo booth rental in Marbella.

Do you charge extra to come to Fuengirola?
No. The price is the same across the province of Málaga, so Fuengirola costs exactly what Marbella or Málaga city costs.
What is the minimum booking?
Three hours, at 400 €. Longer is quoted by the hour.
How much space does the booth need?
About 3 × 3 m, with the equipment up to 1.8 m tall and the backdrop 2.5 × 2.5 m. If your room is tighter, send us the measurements and we will tell you honestly whether it fits.
Can you set up on the beach?
On decking, a terrace or a solid surface, yes. On loose sand we would rather move a few metres to something firm and sheltered — the booth needs to sit level, and the backdrop needs to not act as a sail.
How long do you need to set up?
About an hour before guests arrive. We arrange the access window with the venue beforehand so everything is tested and ready.
Do guests get printed photos on the night?
Yes, printed on the spot, as many as they like during the session. You get all the digital files afterwards.
When should we book?
Saturdays in summer and December company-party dates fill first — book those as early as you can. Midweek and quieter months usually have availability at shorter notice.
Is an attendant included?
Yes, someone stays with the booth for the whole session. It is included, not an extra.
We have been running photo booths on this coast for more than five years and hold a 5.0 rating on Google. If you send us the venue and the date, we will tell you straight away whether the space suits a booth and which format fits it best — before you pay anything.
