An opening has one evening to make an impression. The doors are new, the shelves are full, the invitations have gone out, and for a few hours your brand is the most interesting thing on the street. The question every marketing manager on the Costa del Sol asks afterwards is the same: what did we actually keep from it? Photographs, usually. Not enough of them, and rarely the kind people share.
A photo booth changes that arithmetic. It turns guests into the people who produce and distribute your content, and it hands them something physical with your name on it before they leave. We have been running booths at events in Marbella and the province of Málaga for more than five years, and brand events are the format where the return is easiest to see.
At a wedding, a photo booth is entertainment. At a brand event, it is closer to a stand that works on its own. It gives people a reason to stop moving, which matters enormously at an opening where guests arrive in waves, take one lap of the room and start looking for the exit. A booth creates a small, visible queue, and a queue creates the impression that something is happening.
It also solves the awkward middle of the evening. Speeches end, the ribbon is cut, the canapés circulate, and there is a half hour where nobody quite knows what to do. That is exactly when the booth fills up. Guests who had never spoken to each other end up sharing props and laughing at a print, which is the kind of mingling no seating plan can engineer.
And it is unobtrusive. The booth works whether twelve people turn up or two hundred, needs no host to run it, and does not compete with a presentation or a DJ for attention.
Every guest leaves with a printed photograph carrying your logo. That print goes into a bag, onto a fridge, onto an office desk. It is the only piece of event merchandise nobody throws away, because it has their own face on it.
What you keep is the digital set. Every frame taken during the hire is yours: high resolution files you can use in a recap post, a newsletter, a case study for the landlord, or as content for the weeks after the event when the opening buzz has faded and the feed has gone quiet. For most openings this is the single largest batch of usable, people centred photography the brand will get all year, and it costs a fraction of a photographer booked for the same hours.

The print layout is yours to decide. The usual approach for a brand event is a frame in the company colours with the logo in one corner, the name of the event or the campaign along the bottom, and the date. If you are pushing a hashtag or a launch slogan, that is where it goes, because it travels with every photograph that leaves the room.
Restraint works better than you would expect. A print that reads like an advert gets left on the table; a print that looks like a nice photograph with a small mark in the corner gets kept, and keeps working for months. Send us the logo as a vector file or a high resolution PNG a few days before the event and we will set the layout up and show it to you before the doors open.
Behind the camera you have a choice of digital backdrops, or a physical backdrop measuring 2.5 by 2.5 metres for 150 € if you want a clean, consistent surface that photographs the same way all evening. For an activation where the images will be reused in marketing, the physical backdrop is usually worth it.
Hire starts at 400 € for three hours. That price is the same anywhere in the province of Málaga, so a shop opening in Málaga capital costs what a showroom launch in Marbella costs. Nothing is added for distance within the province.
Included in the hire:
Optional: a physical backdrop at 150 €. If you need more than three hours, tell us the running order and we will quote the extra time. There is a fuller breakdown of what drives the final figure in our guide to photo booth hire costs on the Costa del Sol.
Plan for three metres by three metres. That is enough for the booth, the backdrop and two or three people stepping in and out without knocking into a display. The equipment stands up to 1.8 metres tall, so it fits comfortably under any normal ceiling, including the lower ones you find in older commercial units in the centre of Málaga.
Setup takes about an hour and we arrive before the first guests. All we need is a standard power socket within reach and a spot that is not in the main doorway. Corners work well. So does the end of a room, where the queue forms along a wall instead of across the floor. If you send a photograph or a floor plan of the venue beforehand, we will tell you where to put it.
We cover the whole province of Málaga at the same price: Marbella and Puerto Banús, Málaga city, Estepona, Fuengirola, Benalmádena, Torremolinos and Mijas, plus the inland towns. Brand events cluster in the retail and hospitality districts of Marbella and the centre of Málaga, and we work in both constantly.
Three formats, three different jobs. The classic booth prints, which is what you want if the branded physical takeaway is the point. The 360 platform produces short spinning videos, which suit a product launch where the brief is social media rather than print. The magic mirror is the most decorative of the three and reads well in a polished retail space.
For an opening we normally suggest the printing booth, because the print is the souvenir that carries your logo out of the door. If the campaign lives on Instagram and Reels, the 360 earns its place instead. We compare the three in detail in our guide to the 360 booth, the magic mirror and the classic photo booth.
Three to four weeks out, fix the date and the hours. Openings in the province concentrate in the weeks before Christmas and through the spring, and those dates go first. Two weeks out, send the logo and agree the print layout. One week out, confirm the exact spot inside the venue and where the power socket is.
On the day we arrive about an hour and a half before your start time, set up, run test prints and then stay out of the way. If your event has speeches, it is worth starting the booth after they finish, so the queue does not form while somebody is talking. Corporate and seasonal events follow much the same pattern, which we go through in our piece on company parties and Christmas dinners in Málaga.
Can we put our logo on every print?
Yes. The layout is designed around your branding, and you see and approve it before the event.
Do we get the digital files?
Yes, all of them, after the event, at full resolution and free to use in your own marketing.
How many prints can guests take?
Photographs and prints are unlimited for the whole hire. Guests can come back as many times as they like.
Will it work in a shop rather than a function room?
Yes, as long as there is a three by three metre area and a power socket. Retail openings are one of the formats we do most often.
Is the price different in Málaga, Estepona or Fuengirola?
No. The same price applies across the whole province of Málaga, travel included.
How long before the event should we book?
Three to four weeks is comfortable. Closer to Christmas, book earlier, as those weekends fill up first.
Can you run it without props, for a more formal launch?
Yes. We can leave the props in the van and keep the whole setup minimal if that suits the brand better.
Tell us the date, the town and roughly how many guests you expect, and we will come back with the format and the hours that fit. Call or write to +34 610 816 283, email info@picmeevents.es, or send the details through the form on our contact page.
More than five years of events across the province of Málaga and a 5.0 rating on Google. If your opening is a few weeks away, now is the right moment to pencil in the date.
